About
Hi, I’m Joseph.
I’m a senior network engineer based in Leeds. I started out as a core network engineer at a small ISP, doing a bit of everything end to end, and I now work at a managed service provider supporting enterprise networks across Cisco, Juniper and Fortinet.
Most of what I know came from labbing things at home, breaking them, and working out why. Along the way I picked up CCNA, Fortinet NSE 4–7, and Juniper JNCIA and JNCIS-ENT, and I’m now working towards CCNP Enterprise, so I’m still very much learning.
That’s why this blog exists. The guides that helped me most were written by engineers who explained things plainly and showed what actually worked. I want to write those kinds of posts: real labs, real packet captures, and honest notes on what went wrong.
Everything here is built and tested in my own lab. If you spot a mistake or know a better way, I’d genuinely like to hear it.
